It's February!

We have some catching up from last week.

Students are beginning their informational drafts on severe disasters. They have had time to research and take notes. There were focus topics to guide them with collecting information. These essays will be due by the break so they won't be on the upcoming progress report next week.

Our unit on poetry, prose, and drama is being assessed. Last week, we read, labeled, and discuss a poem from Robert Frost. The students took a comprehension test. I will be averaging their sort grade with their poetry grade. Tuesday will be the prose section and on Thursday they will take the drama section. These will be counted separately.
